Well count this as a new one on us. There is a guy in Germany selling a mechanically fuel injected Cadillac drag trike that apparently belonged to Evel Knievel before being sold to said guy in Germany back in the 1980s. We had no idea that this thing existed and hours of searching netted exactly zero photos of it back in the day but we can tell you that it is pretty awesome for the pure freak value. Equipped with big drag slicks in the rear and a single motorcycle tire up front, there is some amazing airbrush work that show fighter planes and even Evel’s head all over the thing. There are zoomie headers, a big Accel Super Coil, yellow plug wires, and big spacers under the valve covers. Oh, there is that one of zero manifold on the thing for the Hilborn style mechanical fuel injected. Have YOU ever seen a stack injected Cadillac engine before?!
The cockpit is strange in the fact that the butterfly style steering is very, very wide and as it would seem, the driver would not have lots of leverage over it with their arms spread so widely. There’s a racing seat, a fire extinguisher, a Hurst shifter, and there’s a gas tank located directly behind the driver’s head. We have no idea if Evel ever drove this, if it has ever run, or who actually built it. By the late 1970s, Evel’s career was on the wane and perhaps this thing got lost in the mix of trials for beating guys with bats and other stuff. We have no idea but the look and attitude of the machine certainly fit the bill of the man who it was supposedly built for, right? Loud, weird, and essentially created for the hell of it, there’s no better mechanical description of its owner.
There’s a piece of steel that drops down from the rear of the thing that may have been designed to be used as a mount for wheelie casters or something because this trike would be on the bumper the second someone goosed the gas pedal. The short wheelbase and all that drag slick out back would have it climbing the ring gear instantly! We honestly wise we knew more about it, had some period photos, or even knew if Evel ever sat in it. Do you? We’re looking for leads, tips, or info on people who may know more about it.

Please don’t get suckered into this. I had personally never seen it, and I checked with some other VERY close friends of EK and they has NEVER seen this before either. Make sure to ALWAYS have documentation.
