You had to hunt for this one at the 2017 PRI show. I didn’t even know the truck was there until my last couple of hours walking around. But there it was, sitting on the carpet, plain as day once I made my way three-quarters around the Indianapolis Convention Center to where it was sitting as a display for Icebox Performance: a 1967 GMC stepside, looking like an obvious hat-tip to a certain orange-and-white Chevy truck of similar vintage, cap on the bed and all. I’d been told that this thing was a beast and that I needed to look it over to see what the program was all about.
I was not lied to.

All Out Diesel Performance is the team that put together the “Farmgirl”, as the GMC is known, and the truck that Scott and Ashley Walker put together with the team from All Out is anything but a hot rodded old work beast. The chassis is a 25.5 spec deal that Walker built with help from Mike Clark with a roll cage that’s sporting thicker wall measurements than necessary in the hopes that the NHRDA will allow them to run at faster speeds than the Pro Street class will allow. (Pro Street in NHRDA is limited to 8.50 in the quarter mile.)
The mill is based on a 6.6L Duramax V8 that is twin-turbocharged and is pushing at least 1,500 horsepower, if not much more, through an M&M Transmissions-built TH400 out to a Mark Williams 11-inch Pro Mod rear housing. Chris Alston’s Chassisworks suspension parts can be found on all four corners and out back, two massive parachutes will haul the truck down to managable speeds. Look beyond the parachutes into the bed cap and you cannot miss the twin Nitrous Express bottles sitting just within sight. All Out Diesel Performance, huh? They’re earning that name!

If you think that they are trying to be the diesel counterpart to the Farmtruck, think again. The Walkers have their eyes on running 7.50 in the quarter in a truck that weighs in at about 4,500 pounds. With the GMC firing off for the first time earlier this month and just coming together for PRI, you can bet that we will be watching and waiting to see what this beauty can do. Especially when Ashley gets behind the wheel to crack off a pass or two.
