It’s been 10 years since the first FE Race and Reunion was held at Beaver Springs Dragway in Pennsylvania and, of course, BangShift was there. In fact, we have never missed featuring this event on the site. So here we are again, back at Beaver for the 10th annual FE Race and Reunion.

Even though the last FE rolled out of the Ford Factory way back in the mid-seventies, the venerable engine has had quite a long life and a hardcore, dedicated fanbase. Look no further than these galleries from this event for the evidence. Three days of drag racing, a hardy swap meet, and a stout car show were the activities of the weekend. Add in a few FE luminaries of the past like Ohio George Montgomery and Al Joniec, and a free Friday night Beer and Brats dinner (donated by racers), it was another one for the books. All FE cubic inch variants are celebrated, along with everything Ford stuck them in and many they never did, from Fox body Mustangs to Mavericks and Falcons. I say it every year, but this is a Ford lovers nirvana and to drive home the point there are not too many events were Fairlane’s out number Mustangs!

Planning is underway for number eleven in 2023, so plan ahead and we will see you there.
