Final Round Of Outlaw Pro Mod At Street Car Super Nationals Produces Quickest And Fastest Side By Side Run In Door Slammer Drag Racing History

The Q80 Racing team made history Saturday night at the PSCA’s Street Car Super Nationals “Anarchy Under The Arch” event at Gateway Motorsports Park in Saint Louis. The ’69 Camaro Outlaw Pro Mod being driven by Turky Al Zafiri went up against teammate Frankie “Mad Man” Taylor in the Stupid Fast Racing Pro Mod Corvette at the finals, and after the smoke cleared, the dust settled, and the oxygen returned, it was clear that all of the world records that had been set at the event were rendered absolutely moot:

Both cars were the first sub-5.5 runs, and Turky gained the E.T. and trap speed world records. Both of these cars were fighting it out the entire event, neither letting up. Every time they pulled to the line there was a chance of seeing a new record.

need to see a video of finals–long day, fell asleep. Can not wait to see if like times can be run elsewhere. As good as it could be with short car count
