Fire At Jerry Bickel Race Cars Claims Building On Property – Not Main Race Shop

(Photo credit: Lincoln County Fire and Rescue) – A fire on the property of Jerry Bickel Race Cars in Moscow Mills, Missouri has done a least a million dollars worth of damage according to officials with the Lincoln County Fire and Rescue Service. The good news, if there can be in a situation like this is the fact that the fire consumed a 4,000 sqft building that was apart from the main race car building and fabrication part of the business. There were cars, a trailer, and an RV stored in this structure but nothing  (as best we know) has happened to interrupt the actual operation of the business.

Here’s an aerial look at the property –

Judging by the lead photo and the placement of the trees in the background we believe that the building that burned is the one in the center of the photo.

The size of the structure seems to match what the fire service photo looks like and it seems like you can see the short red poles that are set to the side of each door opening.

This is really rough news and we’re sorry to see the loss of property but we are very happy to hear that the chassis business and the employees that work there will not be badly harmed by these events. The Lincoln County Fire and Rescue Service believes that the fire was electrical in nature and you can read their whole report at the link below.

No loss of life, the business will open on Monday, and some stuff got destroyed. None of the destruction is good but it beats the alternatives by a massive amount.

That’s sucks for a business to have anything destroyed by fire. Hope it doesn’t disrupt his daily operation.
