The Gasser craze is in full swing right now and that includes in the drag and drive world. When Matt Frost from Rocky Mountain Race Week decided that they needed a revamp and a push when it came to the Gasser classes at his events, it sparked some new interest and really pushed the other events to follow suit. Now look at all of them that are coming out of the woodwork for all these events! The video below is a prime example as it shows all the gassers that came out for Sick Smokies 2025.

50 Gassers showed up at Edelbrock Sick Smokies and I made the trip to Rocket City Dragway in Huntsville, Alabama for Day 1 of the week long adventure. More than 200 cars entered the event, 50 of which are gassers. Some are traditional gassers, and some are WILD. Enjoy a look at the gassers, and watch them face off against each other in time trial battles. Mike Finnegan leads the way in his Hemi powered ’55 Chevy after day 1 of gasser action.
