We have been showing you great videos from Urban Hillbilly Action Videos now for years here on BangShift. It seems that Sean Melton went back into his archives and pulled out a “top 10” of sorts. These are 10 of the biggest hits you will see and in some cases, double or triple hits. The footage was taken from a number of different races and venues ranging from Carolina Dragway to US 131 in Michigan and several places in between. Small tire cars, pro mods, no prep, this thing has it all and as usual, the editing is on point, there is no lag or down time, this is action all the time.
As much racing as Sean has seen and filmed over the years, it must be hard for him to pull these clips out although I have a feeling his brain works like an announcer’s and he can tell you what race he was at, who crashed, what lane they were in, what color the guy’s fire jacket was, and how long it took him to chug a beer afterwards. Ask him to name his wife’s birthday date and he’ll be in a fog if he is anything like us.
As we said in the title, all of the drivers walked away from these incidents and that’s an important thing to note. Crashing is a part of racing. True fans do not show up for the wrecks, they show up to see fast cars perform at a top level but sometimes things happen. Driver error, mechanical failure, brain fade, whatever it is and things go wrong. Safety standards both in car and track construction keep people safe and in this video you’ll see one clip where an ancient guard rail famously launches a car nearly into the stands. We’re not sure how anyone still rips down tracks with those launch ramps on the side. But hey, you pays your money and yous takes your chances, right?

I remember when that GTO nailed the rail at Orlando. That was definitely one of the most spectacular crashes ever. All of them are ugly.
