Holley Hot Rod Reunion 2018: Our Coverage Starts With The Show Car Field!

Holley Hot Rod Reunion 2018: Our Coverage Starts With The Show Car Field!

It’s my anniversary! No, not the mark where I married my wife, that’s later on in the year. The Holley Hot Rod Reunion marks the point where I went full-time and on-the-scene for BangShift.com, and every year I happily tolerate sweating until you can harvest salt off of my skin with a smile because the show is never lacking. It’s a place where I meet up with friends, like Jensen from the Short Street Rod Shop, Buddy Croucher, Chris DeWeese and other people whose cars I’ve showcased over the years, legends of the sport like Bob Frey, who was co-announcing when he wasn’t cutting up in the press box, racers that range from young guns to octogenarians who still thrash their machines like they were twenty years old on some dusty airstrip, and more. Like show cars? Like drag cars? You’ll be well cared for. Looking for some parts? The swap meet had plenty to offer, ranging from a 1960s Olds Cutlass that looked ready for an engine to a small fortune in slot mags waiting to be picked. Someone even brought a GMC PD-4501, or as you might better know it, a “Senicruiser” bus from the 1950s, complete in Greyhound livery.

Don’t fret…we have a good amount of racing coverage coming your way and if you think I’d do the Hot Rod Reunion and not get Cacklefest shots…oh, ye of little faith! This is just the start of what was going on at Bowling Green! Click on a photo to see more from the show fields!
