From July 30th through August 2nd BangShift.com will provide live streaming video coverage of the 10th annual NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing. This is a race that combines the beat-each-other’s-brains-out element of heads up drag racing with a team element and lots of intense competition over the course of four days Rt 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois. A fun fact is that this drag race has the most number of final rounds of any drag race in the planet. More than Indy, more than ANYWHERE. That means tons of classes, tons of team battles, and tons of wheels up, small tire competition combined with those thumping big tire pro mod cars and dozens of other classes as well. If you are going to one drag race this year, make it this one.

We are super excited to be working with the people at ProMedia to bring you all the action from this legendary race. 10 years ago when they decided to put this thing on the drag racing world thought that Wolcott and the gang had lost their collective minds. Now? People plan to attend a year in advance now, it is that big and winning the event is among the most prestigious things that competitors in this genre of drag racing can do.

So consider this the first announcement. As the time comes near and as the season cranks on, we’ll be keeping you up to date on who is where in the standings, who is favored, and which racers in their respective classes could be playing the role of dark horse candidate at the event.
