If You Crash Your Race Car, When Should You Fix It And When Should You Scrap It And Start Over? Tim McAmis Lets Us Know!

I’ve had the opportunity to drive a lot of cool cars in my life, but before I even started up the engine in a race car I haven’t driven before, I always inspected it so I could make an informed decision on whether to drive it or not. You see, the decision isn’t about whether I’m willing to drive it, but whether or not I’m willing to be in it if I crash it. A steaming pile will go down the track when things go right, but a real race car is the one that will keep you alive when things go wrong.

So let’s say you crash your car and come out unscathed, but the car has seen better days. How do you know when it is right to rebuild it? How much damage is too much damage? When should you just start over?

Video Description:
