The Brazilian Blur: Watch Jader Krolow’s Nova Rip Into The 6.60s At Over 210mph

It is always neat to see new names pop up in the world of American drag racing and then catch back up with them in their home environment. Jade Krolow is one of those names. A successful Brazilian businessman in the logistics and shipping industry, Jader made his first ever NHRA E3 Spark Plugs pro mod series start in 2018 driving a car owned by his pal Sidnei Frigo. He showed his driving chops that weekend and made it pretty clear that he could wheel and deal in the seat of a 3,000hp + pro modified car. Holding an NHRA license he was also qualified for the job. But what about this stuff at home? That’s where this video comes in.

In the land where Opalas are so common, where bad ass inline six engines seem to rule the pits, Krolow has himself a bitchin’ Nova with a good ol’ turbocharged V8 engine under the hood. The car is one of the baddest machines in Brazilian drag racing and it is still a fairly uncommon piece in that part of the world.

How does it run? How about 6.6 second quarter mile elapsed times with speeds that are in excess of 210mph. This thing is no weak sister. Nope, it hauls buckets of ass and the thing driver nicely as you’ll see from the multi-angle video below. Krolow has his hands full early on in the run but the thing settles down nicely as it approaches the finish line and he is able to one hand it as he throws the parachutes with the other.

The guy in the other lane? Yeah, he pulled a hole shot advantage on the tree but then Krolow chewed him up and spit him out in quick fashion.

It’s high time for the drag racing season in Brazil right now. We’ll be watching.
