(Photos by Robert Paxton) – It’s that time again, we are getting to the end of the excellent Kontinentals Day of the Drags photos that Robert Paxton shot for us at Little River Raceway in Texas. The gathering of beautifully built hot rods, wonderfully retro drag cars, ratty old trucks, and hot rods that celebrate and recall the legacy of the hobby. It is a race that showcases everything good about racing, an event that is about being seen, having fun, and beating your car or truck like it owes you money.
We have to thank Robert Paxton for his awesome lensmanship and for shooting these photos for us. He did a great job to capture all the different angles and sides of the event. We’re not sure what car or truck that we’d take out of this place given the chance but there are a couple that really sand out for us, like the one above. It’s ugly but damn is it mean!
WTF? A Ford Anglia?
I didn’t know they were sold in the States and it certainly doesn’t deserve to be called Sir Uglia. I just hope there’s a Ford motor under the hood and not a cursed Chevy. It just needs a turbo and a coat of gloss black paint to look perfect.
It looks as if Arthur Weasly isn’t the only one interested in making vintage Anglias fly.
