(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – As much as everyone loves a good burnout – wheelies seem to stick in our memories more. Perhaps it’s the power needed to actually get the nose up or the torque that can carry the tires down track some. I’m not sure, but I am certain I can recall more epic wheelies I’ve seen than I can burnouts.

Again we’ve got door cars here representing from 8.50 index to Hot Rod classes with everyone vying for a win. I saw a LOT of redlights in the right lane on Saturday during qualifying and I’m betting the sun playing peek-a-boo with the clouds might have been a factor in that. Lots of wheels-up in here and thankfully no one got real out of shape on their runs.
