We’re here at the 2014 Holley LS Fest and by the time you read this, McTaggart will be blasting photos on the track and in the pits. Lohnes will be in the tower excitedly yelling about the drag race action and the place will be filled with GM iron of all different shape, stripe, and performance level. There will be dozens of cars autocrossing, some heading out on the country cruise, many participating in the car show, and still others on the dyno, and doing other stuff. All that being said, the biggest part of the weekend is the drag race and there are a multitude of classes for any LS (and now LT) enthusiast that wants to participate because of great event sponsors like Lingenfelter Performance Engineering.

Rather than just show up with a flotilla of race cars, Lingenfelter put their money where their fans are and have stepped up to sponsor both the COPO Shootout and the C7 Corvette class. As you’ll remember a couple years ago the guys at Lingenfelter took delivery of their COPO and quite literally within hours tuned it to become the quickest one in the country. Fifth annual LS Fest marks the first chance for C7 Corvette owners to come together in competition

DECATUR, Ind. – Lingenfelter Performance Engineering will sponsor the C7 Corvette and COPO Camaro Shootout drag racing classes at the fifth annual Holley LS Fest, Sept. 5-7, 2014, at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Ky.

“Lingenfelter has always been part of the LS-powered community’s most important events,” said Ken Lingenfelter, owner, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering.  “The 2014 Holley LS Fest represents the first opportunity for C7 Corvette owners to go head-to-head in sanctioned drag race competition. The COPO Shootout is a chance for owners of factory race-prepped Camaros to test their car’s full potential on the drag strip. We wouldn’t miss this.”
