I don’t think that it has been any big secret through 2014 that NHRA has really stepped up their digital media game, especially on the video side. Their YouTube channel is now a pretty busy place filled with race recaps, wrecks, historical videos, and lots of other cool tid-bits from the 2014 racing season and far beyond. Outside of the standard issue stuff that you expect they have done some neat one off videos like the “Wild Rides Part 1” film and now this “Season’s greetings” video that hit the airwaves when we were at PRI. We think you will dig it because they have clipped together some of the best high definition footage from the pits, from the track, and from the races themselves (including a KABOOM or three), set it all to some Manheim Steamroller sounding Christmas music and let ‘er rip.

I told you last week that my nitro starvation has really kicked in hard and this video is doing nothing to help fix it. There really is a sickness involved with any level of motorsports. I can speak to it on the drag racing side with authority but we know that there are plenty of road racers, truck pullers, and other gearheads just counting down the days until they are able to do it again next year. Let this blast of high quality, well edited, and action packed video carry you through at least a day before you start the countdown again tomorrow.

This is a fun watch!

And crickets chirp… Funny car bodies suck, short track sucks, no innovation allowed anymore, do they even make the pro stock cars they race now anymore? No mustangs, challengers or camaros? No wonder small tire drags, no prep drags, and nostalgia drags are so popular.
