Nitro Revival Photos: Epic Shots From The Most Bad Ass Nitro Celebration Ever!

Nitro Revival Photos: Epic Shots From The Most Bad Ass Nitro Celebration Ever!

(Photos by Wes Allison) When the Nitro Revival started a few years ago at Irwindale I was kind of skeptical. Not because the cars or the people involved weren’t legit, but because I questioned the location. While convenient, Irwindale is a small drag strip with a weird layout that is a great spot for a car show but that isn’t always the best for a real race. It turns out that this venue is perfect for this event. Not only does it offer great show space, but the 1/8th mile track is plenty for putting on the kind of show that this event is all about. And with up close grandstands and plenty of fence to hang out on the fans get a great view of all the nitro cars cackling away.

Lucky for us, Wes Allison headed over to shoot photos and man did he get some great stuff. I am talking epic photos that are the kind you’d want to blow up and hang on the wall in your living room. Just look at the sunset in some of these! And those nitro flames, come on.

This event has turned into something truly special and I’m sad I couldn’t be there to check it out in person this year, but once again this show just how hard core Southern California car culture is and we love it.

Thank you for your coverage of so much of the fun that went on at NITRO REVIVAL. This event was something I could only dream about to be part of with our truck the 38 SPECIAL and it will be a forever memory
Even our trip from Appomattox VA to the West Coast hauling our truck will remain an exciting adventure
    Thank you for your coverage
