Our Final Blast Of Cool Cars From Bradenton Motorsports Park – Sun, Fun, and Wheelies!

Our Final Blast Of Cool Cars From Bradenton Motorsports Park – Sun, Fun, and Wheelies!

(Photos by Benoit Pigeon) – Well it is a busy weekend at BangShift and while it is only Thursday we’re still qualifying this as a weekend because Chad’s parked up in the scaffolding at Famoso and Lohnes is headed to the very track where the photos below were shot, Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida for the NMRA season opener where he’ll be screaming and yelling about all the action. The photos you’ll see constitute the the second and final blast of testing photos that Benoit Pigeon shot earlier this winter at and around the US Street Nationals event which draws guys from all over the country for the warm weather and chance to get a leg up on the competition that are still wrenching on their stuff.

Like the earlier blast of photos from this event that we shared, the variety is nutso. How about that Mercedes in the lead photo? Awesome, right? Who knew one would look so good with big meats on the back and a tall cowl hood scoop up front? They should have come out of Germany like that when they were built. Drag racers make everything better with horsepower anyway.

If you aren’t into watching the nostalgia scene on our live video feed today, check out these cars, you’ll dig ’em!

Still dare to be different is everything – it makes a change and that’s what counts.

I also love the way turbos are being neatly integrated in to the overall design of the front end of the cars – this is something manufacturers should be picking up on. It should be fairly easy to sort out an unobtrusive but effective air filtering system that would prevent small animals, birds and the odd child being sucked into the engine’
