One of our favorite video guys out of the Pacific Northwest is Rob Fedyk. Why? The biggest reason is that the guy totally gets it. He’s not trying to go over the top with crappy music and dramatic effects. Nope, he gets the fact that the cars are what people are tuning into see and he showcases them in the way only a truly knowledgeable drag racing guy could. In this case we have two of the coolest Fords we have seen in a long, long time. Firstly there’s the blue Fairlane of Klohn. This street driven car has a wicked small block Ford engine, a 6.00 gear in the rear axle, and most importantly? A Lenco, baby! That’s right. Five gears of lever jamming goodness. The second car in this tandem is Jim Gonia’s. His car has a big block and a Liberty five speed transmission in it.
So we have the big block car and the small block car, the Liberty car and the Lenco car. Both of them would be things that we’d sacrifice a limb to drive just once. You will see both cars making rips from the outside and the inside. They both pull great power wheelies, especially Klohn’s car as it drives into them so gracefully it is like the thing isn’t even trying, that is until you hear the audio and know it was screaming like mad.
We’re not going to give away which one is faster but in this pair we’re not even sure that is relevant information. These cars are so freaking cool we’d take the fast one OR the slow one.
Sweeet. I love Fairlanes like those. They remind me of Fred Robinson, aka Frantic Fred, r.i.p.
Outstanding vid…no dumb music except for the screaming blue ovals….
Cool video and at Mission no less. Great place!!!
They run with a group called B.C. Super Shifters, all manually shifted cars. They always put on a hell of a show.
