PDRA Maryland Action: Our Last Blast Of Images From The East Coast’s Craziest Doorslammer Throw Down

(Photos by Benoit Pigeon) – Well, after days and days of photos we have finally gotten down to the bottom of the well and we have to thank Benoit Pigeon for all of the images he provided to us from the PDRA race at MDIR (Maryland International Raceway). The track is one of the facilities under the IRG/IHRA banner and it is operated by the Miller family as it has been for decades. Jason Miller is known as one of the best track prep guys in the country and when you combine the already well kept strip with the addition of the PDRA’s traveling “traction twins” you get a surface that is absolutely incredible and tuned up to the max to handle multi-thousand horsepower door cars and vehicles of every other shape and stripe as well.

This was a great race for the series and they head to Memphis, Tenessee next month for the Memphis drags that will be contested August 20-22. We’d suggest bringing water, a swimming pool, an tractor trailer load of dry ice, and 81-gallons of margaritas to get through that one. It is going ot be hot!
