Performance Racing Industry 2017: Moroso Brought A Whole String Of New Products!

Moroso is one of those legendary names in the automotive aftermarket. Even if you have no idea what they make or what they do, there is no doubt that you’ve seen the “moroso” sticker just about everywhere. Whether you are looking for a new set of valve covers or are preparing a serious engine build and are looking for the ingredients to put together your engine, Moroso should be one of the first stops you make. The company had a broad spread of new items at the 2017 PRI Show, and we got most of it covered. We say “most” because Competition Engineering falls under the Moroso umbrella, and it would be very difficult to fit one of their new eight-point rollcages for either a 1973-87 or 1988-98 GM truck in their display area. Check out some of what they had on the floor, and be sure to check out their site to see what they can do for you! There’s a considerable amount of GM LS/LT stuff here, but they had old and new Chrysler and Ford products on display, as well as parts for Toyota JZ, Subaru flat-four, Honda/Acura and even Suzuki GSX-R on display!

On the left is a GM Mark V filter adapter that will keep owners from having to grind on the block, and the left is an external oil pickup kit that can be sized from -12 to -16 fittings.

The bottom row are a few of the chassis tie-down solutions that Moroso offers. If you’ve ever done yoga trying to get the ratchet straps just right, you’ll appreciate these!

They have also released transmission (blue) and oil (metal) gaskets for a wide variety of applications, from old to new.

With the popularity of USB devices in the car, these rocker panel switches with built-in USB ports should be a welcome sight to anyone with a GoPro (or someone who wants to charge their phone on DragWeek.)

Black is now an available color for the oil-air separators. Just in case you want to hide one underhood.

Working on an LS or new LT engine? Who isn’t? Moroso has lift plates available for both engine series!

The top row here are all coolant expansion tanks that are NHRA and SCCA-legal, but allow drainback into the coolant system. Even if you don’t race your machine, this beats the hell out of puking coolant onto the ground!

Packing a ProCharger, Vortech or Paxton blower and want something a little more stout than the plastic tank that it comes with? How about aluminum?

Top left is a tri-lobe dry sump pump with a fuel pump drive, top right is a battery disconnect switch, and bottom is a GM LS valve cover with the adapter that allows for the COPO breather.

Feel like flogging your big-block Chevy powered machine around more than just a straight line? This is their new oil pan that comes in many of the popular applications, including Chevelle. The pan is baffled and has a windage tray.
