(Photos by David Whealon) – While the NHRA Mello Yello drag racing tour is cooling its jets after a three in a row stretch recently, we’re going to keep pounding your eyeballs with images from those races. We’re back today with more photos from the recently held 4-Wide Nationals at zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina. This was a heck of a weekend of Pro Stock racing as Eric Enders gathered up her first win in a long, long time and completely reestablished the fact that Elite Motorsports is once again a colossus in the pro stock class. The team had been struggling and scuffling for a while but with the addition of Jerry Haas chassis across all of the Elite teams, the worm has turned and turned quickly.
The pro stock bike category provided great action as well and as you will see, David was able to capture some awesome moments with those riders jamming down the track from both angles high and low. Dig the crowd shots at the end of the gallery. Why? People say that no one likes this type of racing and after blowing the gates down at Vegas and again in Charlotte, the jury appears to be in.
