The Fish That Ate The Whale: Here’s How Pro275 Put On A Game Changing Show At The Covid-8 In Orlando

A few days ago we told you how awesome the Pro275 category performed at the DXP Productions Covid-8 event in Florida. I was there to see it with my own two eyes and it was as good as the internet has been saying. Thankfully there were other people there documenting the action for history and The RacingVids has the story from end to end on Pro275 from the qualifying runs to the eliminator that Roger Holder ended up winning. The racer from California hauled all the way across the country and collected the massive stack of cash in what was the quickest and meanest Pro275 field and eliminator in history. This was no second class program.

There was a time in the not too distant pass that we were all waiting to see the first three second pass in the category. Now the truly fast cars are running in the low 3.80s and 4.0s may get you in the door but they may not keep you around for very long.

This video is great because you will see qualifying where nearly twice the number of cars that could get in (8) were on the rounds trying to hammer out incredible elapsed times on the little 275 tires.

At the end of the day if you are wondering about what Pro275 is, the basic answer is simple. It’s a category like Radial vs The World that has to run more weight and a 275 width tire. Many cars are entering this class now that had not considered it in the past and that’s making for a fun time.
