It’s NHRA finals week and that means the sport will be crowning four professional champions as the year draws to a close this coming Sunday. The table has been set for some epic action in Pomona, California this weekend because of what happened little more than a week ago now in Las Vegas. Steve Johnson dove right back into the pro stock motorcycle conversation, Cruz Pedregon proved that he was not dead and buried yet with a dramatic win over Ron Capps, Dallas Glenn protect his boss and held Erica Enders at bay in the final round and Steve Torrence kept his number one position safe headed to the last race with yet another convincing win over the field.
The 2021 season has been one of redemption and resurgence for many veterans. Greg Anderson, Steve Johnson, Cruz Pedregon, and others have returned to championship form and proven that their years of experience are not a detriment but rather a strength as they confront the pressures of what’s to come later this week in California.
