There’s no good time for your car to turn into a rolling inferno but we’d argue that the guy in this video got about as lucky as he will ever get in his life that things played out the way that they did. No, we are not saying that he’s lucky that his car became a personal blast furnace but the fact that it happened on a run where the thing was going nowhere in a hurry for starters and the fact that the fire did not grow as the car rolled down the track likely saved his life. This dude had the ol’ Levi’s fire pants on and as you will see, there was loads of fire in the car, not just around it.
We have never heard of the Blucifer Mustang and frankly we kind of love the name. It is a great play on words for sure and while this thing did not run like the devil on this pass, the video does confirm the old adage that the devil’s in the details of any situation. How? A well sealed firewall keeps the fire off of the driver, a correct set of fire pants keeps this dude from getting his aggies burned off in a different situation, and a properly installed oil pressure sending unit does not blow out of the side of the block and shower the engine with pressurized oil, which is what these guys think started the fire in the first place. We thought transmission at first but the fire is definitely based in the engine bay, so that makes sense.
We are not busting this guy’s chops, we just don’t want to see anyone get burned up that does not have to and we don’t want to see anyone get hurt No Prep racing and give everyone out there that hates on it another reason. Hopefully Blucifer comes back quicker, faster, and safer next time.

Wow… that car’s name was WAY too appropriate here!
So the people standing on the track in front of the cars during their burnouts were there for what reason?
This new thing with having 40 people line each side of the starting line during these three ring circus events is going to end badly one of these days. And it will give real drag racing a black eye.
However it will help thin out some morons.
The young boys ended up stimulated to read through them and now have unquestionably been having fun with these things.
