It was right around 24 hours ago that we introduced you, fair reader, to the insanity that is a 3,000hp screw blown Duramax powered pro mod car here at SEMA 2017. The power plant is from the fertile and slightly demented minds at Wagler Copetition Products and it is an evolution on a design that the company has been working on for several years. The guys really know what the hell they are doing in terms of making power and the engine has lived in pulling trucks so they know that it’ll have the beans to make hay on the drag strip. The tough part of sorting this thing out is not going to have anything to do with the engine but getting the suspension and chassis setup and also finding some sort of transmission that will survive the hell that this monster will send through it. Fun, right?!

So, while our words from yesterday are nice, they lack a big payoff. SOUND we needed to hear what this thing sounded like and the folks at Wagler knew that we were not the only ones. They went ahead and posted some video on their social media channels the other day and we just ran across it now so we had to share. This thing with the overall noise and then the instant bellow when the throttle is cracked sounds like nothing we have ever heard. Then again it has been never that we have listened to a high performance diesel with freaking zoomie headers.
Think about it for a minute, when is the last time you heard a truly uncorked diesel? Because nearly every diesel engine in the world these days is turbocharged you may not have EVER heard a diesel with no obstructions in the exhaust, let alone a pipe for every cylinder.
We need to be present when this car run. We just gotta!

nevermind works now
That thing sounds evil, even through a shitty smartphone. Me like.
Impressive car, so will the Diesel Brothers go pro mod racing now?
Sound like a monster!
Bad Ass , needless to say! Massive amount of low end torque control! Can they turn it into low ET’s and not just break everything?
Never heard diesel sound like that. Badass.
