(Photos by Jeff and Mike Burghardt) – Last weekend, the NHRA tour visited one of the more scenic spots it sees all year long at Sonoma Raceway. The sportsman racing was awesome and thanks to Jeff and Mike Burghardt, we’ve got killer photo coverage from the drag strip and from the pits and frankly we’re not sure which angle is cooler. There were some amazingly cool hauler rigs that dragged cars in and there were some equally cars that dragged themselves down the famed strip at Sonoma Raceway. This race had the classes you know and love like Stock and Super Stock along with the heavy hitters in sportsman racing known as Top Dragster and Top Sportsman. You’ll see some gnarly looking dragsters in here as well as some hot door slammers as well.

Between the cars, the trucks and the scenes in the pits and on the strip, this is a great look at the sportsman side of the NHRA Sonoma Nationals.
