It will be hot, it will be humid, and it will be wild. Mel Roth’s Street Car Super Nationals returns to World Wide Technologies Raceway in Madison, Illinois for a sixth throwdown and the Mid-West Pro Mod Series will be there, as will be the NDRL. You want the laundry list? Here you go:
NRDL is bringing Pro Gas, Pro Comp, Pro 7.5, Pro 7.0, and Junior Dragsters.
Mid-West Pro Mods are bringing Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Radial vs. The World, X275, Limited Drag Radial and, of course, Pro Mods.
And additionally, there will be Box and No-Box bracket racing going on all weekend long too! The fun starts at 9 p.m Central time on Thursday with the big boys all taking a crack at the tree, and will continue through the end of the event on Saturday night. The Pro Mods show up in force for St. Louis, so if you need your monster horsepower and speed fix, you’re covered. A pair of special Fast Four shootouts presented by Racecraft Chassis for Top Dragster and Top Sportsman will liven things up, and speaking of lively, pay special attention to Keith Haney in Pro Mod. Word is that his “Notorious” nitrous Camaro has changed hands and that his “Enigma” Camaro, the Radial car that we thought was already sold, will be running in Pro Mod instead, still wearing Mickey Thompsons. We can’t wait to see how that’s going to play out!
The weather looks solid (highs in the 80s, lows in the 60s and decent the whole time) and as long as the Mississippi River mosquitoes don’t drain him dry, McTaggart will be on the camera with you all weekend long!
Don’t forget the Nostalgia Drag Racing League is running the Performance Automotive Racing Engines Hot August Nights race in conjuction with this event. It’s the 4th race in the 2019 NDRL Championship Series, sponsored by Race Star Wheels.
