The schedule for Saturday said 8am-midnight. But as Chad and I woke up and prepared for the day, we knew better. Just on car count alone, I made the guess of being at the track until three in the morning. Street Car Super Nationals V had brought out a frankly shocking amount of machines and they were all ready to rumble. Well, ok, not all…we learned that DeWayne Mills had broken his Camaro and was out, as were several others. But compared to the amount of cars that were ready to come out and raise hell, those down for carnage were far and few in-between. With temperatures still somehow unseasonably cool and less humid than they had been in the past, we settled down and prepared for a solid chunk of racing action that would outlast the day. We had a cooler full of drinks, snacks, and we as we hit the switch and started up the stream for the online crowd to view, we braced for a long day. We got a long day…and we got some amazing racing for our hard work! The daylight eliminations were for the Index cars, the Nostalgia Super Stock crew and the Junior Dragsters…Pro Mods would go on a break until later in the evening!
