(Photos by Mike Brooks) – Well we have finally made it to the end of the massive collection of photos Mike Brooks blasted during the Sunday Nostalgia event at Lancaster National Dragway in Lancaster, New York. There has been news about the track in recent days, mainly the fact that they have added a hands-on General Manager that will be on the property in what seems to be an every day role. This is great news as the facility deserves to have someone who’s job is to literally look after it every day and make sure that stuff is in working order, etc.
This event was a celebration of the track’s past. With the addition of the new General Manager on the property local racers can start celebrating the track’s future. It all looked very grim exactly a year ago now when the place held what could have been its last drag racing and instead they are in better shape at the end of 2015 than they could have hoped and they look to be heading into the 2016 season (after winter comes by) as strong or stronger than they have in years.
