If this Ford Performance Vehicles ute was one generation older, it would be called a “Typhoon”, the Pacific equivalent of a hurricane. But be it called F6, Falcon, or “really, another Aussie ute?”, this one is going to make landfall in the United States this year for Hot Rod’s Drag Week. And as you’ve probably surmised from the title, no, it won’t be stock by a wide mile. This Barra-powered huffer made just a tick over 302 horsepower when baselined on the dyno before the car was sent to XR6 Turbo Developments for a swift kick in the hind quarters. Now the Ford with an accent is kicking north of 680 horsepower and that’s on six cylinders, folks. If you think that you’ve got something for the Aussies, we wish you the best of luck, because early testing done at Sydney Dragway looks very, very promising. We’re looking forward to seeing the F6’s progress on the trail this year!
Crap. Drag Week is a little to far away for me to go watch this year.
