Last week’s running of the 2019 Chevrolet Performance NHRA US Nationals was epic. It always is. This episode of the NHRA Insider Podcast recaps the running of the race, looks ahead fo Hot Rod Drag Week which is coming right up, and also includes a great conversation on some of the inside dealings at Indy, especially with the pro mod class which is entering an entirely new era of NHRA Participation.

The guests on this show are Tony Pedregon who I work with week in and week out, David Freiburger who is my pal and the guy who came up with the Drag Week concept as well as the guy who announces the event with me, and Wes Buck of Drag Illustrated who spends his days and nights inside the sport of drag racing on several levels.

This one is a little longer than normal because there’s so much stuff to talk about and it’s all interesting. Tony’s takes on Indy winners, who is coming into the countdown strongest, and what the rest of the year will look like are fresh. Getting the inside scoop on Drag Week is cool, and Wes Buck drops knowledge bombs about pro mod and what happened over the course of a wheeling and dealing weekend.
