The License Plate Says It All On This LS2-Powered Toyota HiAce Van – And It Looks Dead Stock, Too!

The License Plate Says It All On This LS2-Powered Toyota HiAce Van – And It Looks Dead Stock, Too!

You know what the acronym “WTF” stands for…don’t act like you don’t. It’s that expletive question that you tend to think, if not blurt out, when you are seeing something your brain can’t quite process. It’s the most pure statement of confusion and surprise, which is exactly where we find ourselves after seeing this video. This late-model Toyota HiAce should serve two purposes: moving people and equipment, nothing more. In stock form, your best bet is a 170 horsepower straight-four, which is more tuned to cart around loads than to do anything remotely resembling “sporting”, let alone “rowdy” or “violent”. This HiAce, however, is an overachiever. Lament the LS swap all you want, at least here the LS2 makes sense. Or, maybe not, considering how long this van can pull off an Aussie skid down the track. If it weren’t for the soundtrack and the personalized plate, nobody would be the wiser about what is going on here, because on the outside the Toyota has all of the personality of a rental van from Enterprise. Kind of makes you wonder how well a Coyote 5.0 would fit inside of a Transit Connect, doesn’t it?
