I don’t do paint, because it scares the hell out of me. But man I wish I did. Not that I’d want to go crazy like this, but I sure like watching someone do this kind of work on video. This amazing 1968 Camaro is being painted with carbon fiber showing through the stripes, or so it appears. There is a bunch of cool detail work going on here, and you are going to want to check it out. And this is on a race car!
Check it out and let us know what you think.
Video Description:
Painting a new front end for the car known as “Black Gold”. Everything that would normally be chrome is painted in gold. The car was previously painted by someone else and luckily the owner was able to get me all the paint info. Paint info listed below.
Very impressive and looks awesome but wonder if that kind of detail is really worth the time, money and effort. Seems to me they could have choose a simpler design and the car still would have looked really good. Plus now you have a million dollar paint job that you have to worry about every time you work on the car or remove that front end. At 150 MPH bugs are going to plaster that fancy grill work. I say its “over the top”.
