If you have ever experienced 1,000hp on asphalt you can only imagine what 1,000hp on water would be like. Ok, as someone who has experienced 1,000hp on asphalt I literally cannot imagine what was going through this guy’s mind when the boat he was riding in launched itself out of the water because the insane, blown 1,000hp big block behind he and the driver made it happen.
The beginning of the video is hilarious as the Swedish guy who will be driving the boat explains to his passenger why he’ll be wearing a helmet and the other guy will not be. This is one hell of a thrill ride. We’re not sure which angles are more dramatic but the looks from the shore seem to be even more wild than the “in-boat” camera that shows the driver and passenger being thrust to the back of the seat when the guy hammers the gas.
Speed on the water is an entirely different sensation than speed on land. We have no idea why the water always seems faster. In this case, the guy riding in the boat for the first time is ruined for life. Why? No floating device he ever rides in from here on out will ever measure up to the ride he got in this video!

Having been 100mph plus many times in a V-drive flattie and picklefork the sensation of speed, the sound of the flattie in the water (like its being dragged across concrete), feels way fast.A Picklefork gets much less water sound as it gets out of the water but feels more dangerous as it floats on a pocket of air. I’ve been MUCH faster (heck, yesterday in my sbc MGB) in cars and on motorcycles, NOTHING gets the adrenaline going like a fast boat per MPH.
