This Is What It Really Takes To Paint A Race Car! Curry Does Bodywork And Paint On Topol’s Tombstone Camaro After Switching To Big Tires For No Prep Kings!

We’ve shared a few Paint by Curry videos before, where this master puts down some amazing candies, metallics, carbon clears, and more on bad ass race cars. Located in Alabama, he’s a go to for a killer paint job and some of his are some of the most photographed and revered rides out there. In the two videos below you are going to see what it is really like to paint one of these cars after modifications have been made and paint touch ups are needed. Sometimes guys crash them and he’s got to fix them, but in this case Danny Topol and the Topol Motorsports crew had decided to change their car over to a big tire for the No Prep Kings series and that meant major changes underneath their steel roof and quarter panels, plus some changes to the steel quarters themselves. As you’ll see here, some of these modifications were far less than pretty, and unfortunately done in the wrong order, so that meant a lot more work for Curry just to get it ready to prime.

There is some good stuff going on in this one, and if you watch you’ll learn a few things before he even puts on the shiny stuff. And it also reinforces the fact that if you are going to be having someone do your paint and bodywork, you should have a few good conversations with them about the order of other modifications, what should be done before hand off, etc.

In the end, Danny Topol’s Camaro absolutely looks like a million bucks, as Curry shows his mastery, and boy does this thing look evil.
