While the world has been mesmerized by the likes of guys named Stevie Fast and Frank Soldridge pulling wheelies at 300ft, what about the good old fashioned wheelie off the starting line move that has been pulled off for decades? Is anyone doing those anymore? Of course they are! This video was taken at the Throwdown in T-Town last weekend and it shows an awesome X275 Chevelle planting its radials and leaping for the sky.
The driver does an awesome job managing this situation by working the throttle. You can see the car kind of bouncing on the rear tires as the driver pedals the thing in an effort to get it back to Earth. He succeeds in doing that and prevents the front end from getting mashed too badly as well. Overall we’re giving this guy close to a perfect driving score here.
Had he ripped his foot off the throttle it would have caused damage to the car. Had he kept his foot plugged into it the thing likely would have moved to one side of the order or landed on its door. None of that stuff happened and he had the presence of mind to work the throttle gingerly while star gazing!
X275 is a bad ass class and we love the cars that we get to see around the country. This Chevelle is great!
