PDRA Drag Racing News: Tyler Crossnoe announced as PDRA Track Prep Director for 2018 Series

It is always cool when you see your friends do well and that’s the case with this news as pal of ours Tyler Crossnoe has been announced as the PDRA track prep director for the 2018 season. Crossnoe comes in behind Jason Miller who did the job last year and set the bar pretty high. We’re confident the kid can handle it as he has shown numerous times throughout his career thus far. Crossnoe is a racer, a promoter, and as you see here a specialist when it comes to preparing a race track for maximum grip.

The PDRA’s brand of eighth-mile competition requires the track be on kill at all times and that’s the job that Tyler will be charged with completing this year. A guy in his 20s with drive and motivation galore, this guy is going to be in the sport a good, long while.

Congrats, dude and congrats to the racers. You boys and girls are in for one hell of a surface in 2018!

Here’s the full story from the PDRA – Congrats to Tyler Crossnoe on the job!

Tyler Crossnoe announced as PDRA Track Prep Director for 2018 Series

For racers and race fans alike, this is awesome news and continues the push by the PDRA Management to make 2018 the greatest Season ever in the history of the PDRA Series.

The announcement that Tyler Crossnoe will be in charge of the track prep and track management for the entire 2018 PDRA Racing Series comes as awesome news for racers looking to push their personal bests in 2018.

Tyler has experience, wisdom and humility well beyond his youthful age. This rare combination of attributes serves him very well in his quest to give racers the best possible racing surface and opportunity to safely pursue world record times and speeds throughout their 2018 PDRA Championship chase.

Tommy Franklin, head of the PDRA Organization, stated “We are excited to have Tyler on board with the PDRA. He has a great reputation and will fit in nicely on our team. It’s always nice to have someone with a great work ethic as part of your team, so we can’t wait to get the 2018 season started.

At just 25, Tyler has been at the forefront of track prep technology the past 6 or so years, with his experience in this field growing from the age of 16 when he was employed as an Announcer and Track Prep Assistant, through to Head of Track Prep at smaller tracks by 17, and Head Traction Consultant for VP Racing fuels at just 21 years of age.

For the past couple of years Tyler has run his own Track Prep consulting company, Dream Team Motorsports Consulting, and has built a huge reputation around the globe as the go-to-guy when you want it done right.  The quote that hangs on his office wall, “Practice does not make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect” by Vince lombardi speaks volumes about the way Tyler approaches his craft, and life in general.

Even though I am known primarily as a Radial Track prep guy, I love Pro Mod racing, and the challenge of prepping tracks for these extremely high powered big tire cars is something I really enjoy. It’s a real humbling deal to have people who put that much trust in you and get the opportunity to do the ProMod PDRA deal.” Tyler explains.
