One of the best things that happened in drag racing for the 2014 season was the return of Sean “Right Place At The Right Time” Melton’s return to shooting all kinds of drag racing video at events across the country. Melton’s Urban Hillbilly YouTube channel turned into one of the hottest out there for drag racing fans looking for action videos from small tire races, no prep races, pro mod events, and other straight line battles. Sean’s knack for having the camera aimed and rolling when some of the wildest stuff you can imagine goes down is what’s built his reputation as one of the best video guys in the business. Now, it certainly helps when you attend events like no-prep races where guys are cranking wheelies and cranking walls on a run by run basis, but some of the footage you will see here was only captured because he knows the cars and sport well enough to understand that looking away can cost you “the shot” at any given second.
You’ll recognize some of the clips in this video from earlier releases that we have featured from his channel but to see them all strung together in a rapid fire fashion makes a video that’ll have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Whether you are a fan, a photographer, or a budding video maven, take note. THIS is the guy you want to model yourself after when shooting the live action stuff. It is great to have Urban Hillbilly Action Videos back and rocking as hard as it ever has. We’re thankful that Sean allows us to share this stuff because we dig watching it as much as you dig watching it.
