(Photos by Benoit Pigeon) – We’re back with more US Street Nationals action photos from the pro mod category. As we told you yesterday this race is the culmination of a week (and sometimes more) of testing for many teams. The rules are set in such a way that it breaks a multitude of cars into a couple of classes. There’s Pro Nitrous which follows the PDRA rules and those cars are fun to watch with their thundering 960ci engines. There’s Outlaw Pro Mod which essentially combines the NHRA J&A cars with the Pro Boost PDRA cars for some fun viewing, and then there is Extreme Pro Mod which is effectively PDRA Pro Extreme. All the cars put on a hell of a show.
Peter Farber was at the event in his awesome CRC Brakleen sponsored Charger Daytona. His car having been recently freshened up by Dan Page Race Cars in New Hampshire with some chassis and suspension changes made. The big news for that team and any blown NHRA team is that their blower overdrive is now 20% up from 14% at the close of last year. They seem to have a good handle on the combo and will continue to test before their NHRA season opener in March.
Benoit crushed the photos. Enjoy!
