He’s sore, his car is mangled, and there’s a load of work to do, but Stevie Fast Jackson is alive and that’s the important thing to remember here. As you’ll see below, this was the most insane final round in NHRA pro mod drag racing history. Why? Jose Gonzales streaks to his first NHRA Wally ever and literally right next to him, finishing in the runner up spot is Jackson suffering a 250mph wreck. Three BIG hits send Jackson bouncing off both walls. Having seen the car after the crash, it is a total write off. The stuff that was not bent and broken was singed in the ensuing fire.
You can see that Jackson had his hands full for the majority of the run and then right before the stripe the car drove got one tire away from the grove and it drove itself hard right. Despite his efforts with the wheel the Camaro hit hard and then made the sickening pinball move across the track where it suffered a driver’s side impact that was so severe the entire machine came off the ground. As the rudderless car came across the track for the final time, fire was evident and growing as the car sat in its final resting spot. While you cannot see it in this video Jackson booted the door open and climbed out.
We’re glad that this car protected Stevie and we hate the fact that it is mangled. What we do know is that this guy is not going to miss a race. What we don’t know yet is the car he’ll be piloting. Could the Shadow 2.0 make its NHRA pro mod debut in Topeka? We sure as hell hope so! People will go berserk.
I’m not saying i could pilot one of these cars at all however, it seems Jackson wrecks every car he drives. I wouldn’t want to be in a lane next to him.
to the above comment: it sure is easy to push buttons on a keyboard, isn’t it??
familyguy must only watch highlight reels on you-tube – the 1st time he fell down, he probably never left the house again…..
