The sport of drag racing is as big worldwide as it has ever been. We have been poking around and paying attention to tracks all across the country, most of which are open now, and there is on doubt that the sport is off to an incredible 2018. Small tracks are blowing the gates down with test and tune action, radial races are drawing cars and people, no-prep continues to be white hot, and the biggest series in the country is making tracks as well.
This is not just a North America thing. Brazil is experiencing an incredible explosion in drag racing popularity as well. This video is proof of that and it is also proof that they are serious about their cars and the competition. Here you can watch 10-minutes of drag racing craziness from that country and we think you’ll dig it. Everyone walks away and most of the stuff is only moderately rearranged with respect to damage.
We love the cars that these guys race. There are loads of bad ass stick shifted machines and smaller displacement turbocharged are the order of the day. Drag radials are all over the place and as you will see there are killer front wheel drive cars as well as rear wheel drivers. The tracks are good, the cars fly, and like anything that goes fast, sometimes guys lose the handle and eat concrete. That’s the nature of the business no matter what country you live in.
