Watch And Listen To This Whipple Blown 426 Gen III Hemi Stroker Make Over 1,000hp On The Dyno

If we have one piece of advice for late model muscle cars fans that are NOT of the Chrysler variety, when you see a car equipped with an Arrington Performance decal or logo, run the other way and don’t look back. These guys create mondo power from late model Chrysler hemi engines and they are always on the bleeding edge of the performance envelope for these babies. Case in point is this video which shows a stroker 426 Gen III engine equipped with a big 4.0L Whipple blower that’s spun by a cog belt rather than the normal ribbed job make more than 1,000 and we’re talking a BUNCH more than 1,000hp on the dyno. Oh, and the power curve is still going virtually vertical when they cut the thing off at just over 6,000 RPM. Hellcat what?

We have no idea what this engine is destined for but we know that you probably don’t want to be on the receiving end of whatever that sucker car dole out. We’re insanely giddy to see the new supercharged Challenger Drag Pack cars during the 2016 NHRA season and while they are likely not making over 1,000hp in legal form…at least at first, we know that they are going to make stupid power. See, as much as the LS guys like to brag on their factory heads, the Apache heads on the current generation Hemi are insane and before they are touched by talented tuners like Arrington, they can support just idiotic levels of power. Adding the man-sized blower with the cog belt setup on it just sweetens the pot for sure.

Watch the video, admire the whine and then pause that baby when it pans over to the results screen. This thing is nasty in all of the right ways.
