Like seemingly everyone else in the known universe, Kye Kelley bolted some radials to the back of his normally big tire equipped Camaro and took his shot at the insanely tractive eighth mile clocks on the grounds of South Georgia Motorports Park. In the video below Kelley is running No Time. Other guys like Big Chief are running in respective classes but our understanding is that Kelley is there displaying his car and making some exhibition hits. If that’s his goal he put on a hell of a show the other night.
You’ll see the Camaro leave the starting line hooked up and start to climb with the nitrous fueled header flames rolling. It came up pretty quick and got some decent altitude before Kelley chopped the throttle and landed the car with a thud. While he was running clocks off and the elapsed time would have been a throwaway anyway, this is a pretty good illustration about how bad ass the car is.
Now, if he’d only have entered a class and shown the world what was really going on behind the proverbial curtain….
