The Top Doorslammer class in the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) is not unlike NHRA Pro Mod racing with lookalike bodies draped over full chassis. The cars go deep into the 5s and are limited only to supercharging and if you watch this video—which you probably will several times—they can clearly be a handful. This run between Rob Taylor’s Camaro and Paul Cannuli’s Plymouth Duster is one messy affair and there’s a lot happening in under six seconds.
Cannuli’s Duster in the left lane skates toward the center line almost immediately, but he pedals it and gets back on-throttle after getting the car headed down track again. Meanwhile, Taylor gets tire shake and has to pedal the car a couple times well into the run. It’s not a pretty site and from the onboard, Canulli is working hard in the car to nab the win light.

WOW…there’s a lot of firsts here. namely, the chute handle with the left hand…never seen that before. wow…what a ride. I wonder if all his teeth remained intact. That was a lot of tire shake
