We love the videos that Miller Welders puts up. Some are long, some short, but all of them teach you something that will make you do a better job on your welding project. I’ve been welding for almost 40 years, and I’ve welded in all kinds of environments, but I don’t weld every day anymore and am constantly looking at techniques and new technology that makes welding on my projects easier, nicer, and stronger. The debate over push or pull, with regards to MIG welding, has been an argument many weldors have but that most don’t truly understand.

Here is a really short and sweet video from Lucas Johnson at Miller explaining when you want to push vs pull and why. Try it out on some scrap in your shop. You’ll be amazed at how much difference it can make in your weld.
