(Video by Javier Padron YouTube Channel) – We’re pretty sure that Texas has every other state in the Union covered when it comes to drag trucks per capita. Yes, lots of people race cars down there but there are a TON of really bad ass drag trucks running all over the place and while some are full on tube-chassis beasts, many are the like the machine you will see below. Relatively stock bodied, on a small tire, and packing lots of turbocharged LS horsepower. And maybe a cage or not.
This truck is really, really nasty. 427 LS motor with an 88mm single turbo, some healthy injectors, a built 4L80E automatic, and some chassis work has it flirting with the 8s at the start of the video and busting in like a wrecking ball at the end. The first run is wild because you will see the thing basically go into a tire shake situation even with the small rear meats the driver has on it.
After getting the chassis stuff sorted on the launch you will see the clean run made at dusk and it is fast. The truck seems to be trying to get right on the way down the track because a couple of times you will see steering input added to the left and the thing moves around a little down track. Hey, we’re not driving and that sucker is bad fast!
