This may be an old video but wow is it cool! North Star Dragway in Denton, Texas is known around the country as a fast strip with great hook. It is also known as a place where no time grudge racing can get hot and heavy at times. In this video, all of those elements come together in what could be one of the coolest and most violent side by side small tire passes we have seen in some time. The two main players in this video are a pair of late 1960s Chevy Novas. They are snotty, kinda ugly, small tired, and obviously set up to hook in a car wash. Essentially they are everything a guy would ever want to have in a street race car. By lots.
When the tree comes down the Nova in the right lane goes into a giant wheelstand and sparks shoot off the bumper, while the car in the left lane was not as quick to go vertical, it gets there about a second after and also showers sparks off of the back of the car! We’ve not seen two small tire cars do this deal side by side, especially to the level of leveraging the bumper in a long time, if ever. For anyone who thinks that eighth-mile drag racing is no good. Watch this video and tell us again with a straight face.
No time, bad ass, clandestine cars are hella cool and this is proof!
Press play and watch to clearly bad ass street race style Novas go into lift-off mode!
