Well folks, I couldn’t be more proud, anxious, or excited to announce that BANGshift is finally putting on our own event! You’ve been asking for it, and we’re taking the leap. It’s coming up quick, so pay attention and help us spread the word and enter to be a part of it! We’re rolling out a new BANGshift Production, the Louisiana Drag and Drive Hot Lap Challenge. Registration is open now so you can sign up today, and like we said, it is coming up quick. February 28th to March 2nd to be exact and we’d love to see you there.
This is a three day drag and drive event that will feature three days of drag racing at State Capitol Raceway, and three drives to complement the drags. We’ve partnered with Cody Pollage and the crew at State Capitol for this event and are really looking forward to doing something special. It’s the inaugural event, and you can only be the first once so you need to come out and hang out with us as we capture the Louisiana flare for this one.
One of our friends said that this was going to be “the Drag and Drive for the people” and he’s kind of right. We are incredibly passionate about drag and drive racing and want to give more people the opportunity to experience it. We feel that a three day format is more doable for folks starting out as it doesn’t require the same financial and time commitment as a week long event does. So if you are a newbie who wants to try out drag and drive for the first time, or a veteran of many, we’ve got a place and a class for you. In fact, this is a great even to use as a warmup for Rocky Mountain MEGAWEEK, Sick Summer, Drag Week and more.
We’ve got 8 classes, so there is something for everyone, and everyone can be competitive in this format. Our goal is good competition and the maximum number of smiles per hour. Oh and burnouts. We love burnouts.
And you are the family or friends of a racer, and would like to be a part of this great event, we’ve got the Cajun Cruise that will allow you to be right in the thick of things, without the pressure of competition.
