While their toilets may swirl in the wrong direction, they may thoroughly enjoy Vegemite, and they steer their cars on the wrong side, Australians are as awesome and hardcore as American hot rodders. This video highlights some of the best wheelstands captured during the 2016 season and there are some real moon shots in here. Virtually all of the cars are on radials and many of them are models that American fans will recognize. if you don’t recognize the model of the car you will definitely recognize the sound of a big nitrous engine, a twin turbo mill, or a roots blown slayer as all of those styles of making power are on display here. Hell, there’s even a rotary featured! Bam!
The other lesson in this video is that radial style racing is not just a hometown thing here in the USA. People from all over the world are bolting these things on and doing insane stuff with them. The lack of wheelie bars annoys some people but we’re not some people. It is an intricate balance to tune these cars to work properly while keeping them on the ground. None of the guys in this video did a perfect job at it and the result is the high flying antics you will watch below.
