Wheels Up Video: An Outlaw 10.5 Camaro Carries the Front End a Long, Long Way!

Wheels Up Video: An Outlaw 10.5 Camaro Carries the Front End a Long, Long Way!

The advances in suspension and chassis technology that have been brought about by the “small tire” drag racing scene are pretty amazing. When this whole genre of the sport got off the ground, seeing cars hook consistently on a 10.5 tires was a rarity. For the most part it was hit and miss, but over time the racers, manufacturers, and fabricators all got their came together and we’ve now advanced to the point that a 10.5 slick is a “big tire”. Watch what is going on with the 275 radial craze that’s sweeping the nation and you’ll eventually believe that some day front runners will be mounted to the rear and cars will still dead hook!

This video featured the seven second, 10.5 Outlaw Camaro of Mike Weisgerber. His blown machine is one hairy ride. Just watch it as he stages the car. The blower surge rocking the body back and forth as he idles into the beams.

The real action starts when he drops the hammer. The man either has an uncanny sense of direction of lots of faith in the almighty because he does not seem to lift whatsoever when the Camaro is in the same position as a rocket on the launch pad!

This is impressive and courageous!
